Big Girl

It's so weird that Valentine is only 3 1/2 months and I feel like she's so old and has grown up so much already- I mean she has, she can stand up now and scream (for fun) and talk for hours but she's still soooo little! I will tell you what though, she is a demanding little girl, she has to have your attention all the time no matter what or she gets mad.  And yes, she still sleeps on me a bit, but she's getting a lot better and is now sleeping next to me.  She's so fun, I can't even tell you how much she makes me laugh- I am just in love with her and everything she does- even when she's tired and fussy and won't go to sleep for hours I still love her and want to eat her up with those fat cheeks and big eyes.  And she is the center of attention at church- there is seriously a line in front of me after sacrament meeting and primary for people to touch her (which she's not the biggest fan of), talk to her, or just look at her.  Having a baby is great- it makes me popular woo hoo.  And that's what it's all about.

It's a Miracle!

Ok, well there's actually 2 miracles:  the first one is that my baby has been sleeping by herself for an hour!  This may seem like small fries to some of you, but for those who know me and my baby well know that she only sleeps right on top of me or right next to me- any other time I try to leave by herself she wakes up after half an hour max- so this is pretty awesome.  The other one is that Valentine can now suck on her thumb!!!  Since she came out she has been trying sooo hard to suck that little thumb but always ended up sucking on her whole fist because she was unable to isolate her tiny thumb.  Oh, and now she's awake.  Oh well, baby steps, just remember baby steps.  

Happy Holidays

I'm very sorry it's been so long, but I was in DC for three weeks with Valentine visiting my family- such a blast, I was so sad to leave but, it is nice to be home with Drew again- it's very very quiet now compared to being back east.  Well, Christmas was just lovely, it was by far my favorite Christmas ever- I was with my family, and I had my beautiful baby and Drew.  I can't think of anything better- plus Valentine was wearing her baby leg warmers and her legs looked like big fat candy canes, which was awesome.  She is growing by the day and not just in size (though she's huge) but in her abilities too, she's just started to be able to stand on her legs a little and she talks and screams and is grabbing and eating everything that we give her- I couldn't be having more fun.
