She's So Vain

Valentine's favorite thing in the world (besides nursing) is to see herself in the mirror.  Nothing gives her greater joy- I guess that she shares my opinion that she's the cutest little stinker in the world.  She talks to herself, laughs at herself, smiles to herself and most recently she has been banging her head against herself trying desperately to touch that adorable baby she sees and loves so much.  I know it's bad, but most of the times I  just sit there and watch her and laugh cause it's soooo funny- I eventually pull her away so she doesn't give herself brain damage (I swear I'm a good mother), but I just had to take a video of it so others can see what I'm talking about.  Not only is she a narcissistic baby but also a very determined one.  She is trying so hard to crawl, if she sees something she wants she will crawl/scoot/roll her way around till she gets to it (most of the time it's the mirror).  I love watching her grow- and I swear she gets prettier by the day, every time I look at her I'm taken aback by how darling she is and how much I love her.  Oh yeah, she also loves watching videos of herself- jeez, how conceited.

5 Months

I hate being sick.  Hate it.  And trying to take care of a baby while sick- yikes.  Needless to say this weekend wasn't the most fun.  However, the weekend and week before that were really fun- my mom, Page and Kirby were all here and I loved loved loved it.  It was so fun, we went up to Utah for a few days and while here went to the Strip and Red Rock Canyon (I'm pretty that was a little more fun for Drew and me than for Mom and Page since they sat in the car with sleeping Valentine while Drew and I hiked on the red rocks... sorry) but just having them here was amazing.  Valentine had her own little fan club- every morning when I'd come out of the bedroom with V Mom, Page and Kirby would all be sitting on the couch waiting for her and would talk to her as soon as we came out.  Needless to say Valentine just loved this attention- she started craning her neck to try to look at the couch every morning when we'd come out to see who was waiting for her.  It was very sad the morning after everybody left and she still looked out to see who was on the couch.  Well, anyways, here are some random pictures for y'all's enjoyment.  5 Months, can you believe it?
