Sorry!

Sorry it's been so long- at first I was just too tired to do anything and then our internet has been down for days.  So, here are some more pictures of Valentine- she has huge dark eyes and loves to put her hands in her face (that definitely makes nursing more fun).  We keep trying to figure out who exactly she looks like and it changes every time- as of tonight we think she looks a lot like Drew.  She also has a cute little left ear that I need to take a picture of and post.  She is darling and we can't get enough of her.  Drew is very good with her- he's great at calming her down and she loves her grandma- we'll be very sad to see her go.  Luckily her other grandma will be dropping by soon!

Stupid Contractions....

I started having contractions Tuesday night at 11:30, and they got close together and pretty consistent (about 5-10 min apart for 5 hours), so I figured I was officially in labor.  But then Wednesday afternoon after taking a walk and a bath to try to speed things up, they got slowed down.  I'm still contracting, but still irregularly, so hopefully I make some progression today... I don't really know what to do at this point though, at least my mom's here, so she's definitely made it for the birth... whenever that actually happens.  So, we will see.... this is very annoying- I'll try to let people know when we go to hospital or there's any other major updates (please please please be soon).

Baby Room!

The baby still isn't here, but whenever she decides to show up, her room is finally 100% ready!

I'm enormous.

Do not be fooled by this picture.  I have never been so uncomfortable in my life.  At the moment I can't even sit up because she is so high up in my ribs- yet she's also managing to hit my pelvis at the same time.  I am willing to go through labor now, just so I don't have to be on my back all morning.  Ugh.  Still love her.  Just not comfortable.  But I have my baby shower tonight and I'm way excited, the ladies in my ward are so nice.  Drew asked me if I was excited... girl/baby talk, presents, and food..... is it a question?  Oh and I bought a nursing bra last night, now those are funny. Hahahaha.

Waiting...... and waiting.......

Well, we are currently playing the waiting game.  Valentine is set to arrive in exactly a week (the 7th) and I have never been so impatient/restless in my life.  I'm already dilated and effacing- apparently I have a "great cervix" to quote my doctor, so hopefully that means my labor won't be too bad..... I'm not really holding my breath.  At least I know my baby won't break my spine and my vampire-husband won't have to bite my baby out of me- gross, but I do heart that book.  But we are excited and cannot wait to meet her and I can't wait to not feel like an ugly boy whale anymore and be able to actually hold my baby.  The thought of me being a mom still kinda freaks me out, but makes me ecstatic at the same time... it's just weird, I still can't really go from the transition of being pregnant to actually having a baby.  Drew's excited too, he talks to my tummy all the time, telling Valentine to please come and to not make her mom uncomfortable, but she's already not really listening to him- this parenting thing is going to be fun I can already tell.
